Talent Sourcing
We can help add candidates to the top of your recruiting funnel for high priority roles.
- Calibrate the “ideal candidate”: This can be done via email or call. We ask that you provide the following information:
- Job Description: What are the responsibilities for this position?
- 3-5 Target Companies: Which companies would you like to hire from?
- 3-5 Target LinkedIn Profiles: Even if you can’t recruit them, who are you interested in? What about their profile stands out?
- Location: Do your candidates need to be located in a certain city?
- Industry: Do you prefer candidates to be from a particular industry?
- Generate a list of candidates: Once we gather an understanding of what you’re looking for, we will pull an initial batch of 25 candidates and send them over for your review. Pending your feedback, we will send a second batch of more tailored candidates.
- Feedback: We encourage you to provide as detailed feedback as possible. This can include ranking candidates on a scale of 1-5 and stating why or why not they are a fit. Please let us know which candidates you would like to reach out to
- Outreach: We encourage you to send outreach through Gem, a phenomenal tool that is free to early-stage startups. Outreach is typically more successful when it comes from the founder, however, 645 can help send outreach on your behalf as requested.
- Keep us posted on the status of these candidates in your interview process and let us know if we can support you to close any offers.
Process, Resource, and Tooling Setup
We can assist you in vetting, selecting and rolling-out your HR & People techstack. Examples include HR information systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), performance management software, and employee engagement tools.
- Define Needs: We can help you define your current problem areas & can assist in demoing various software that could be a potential solution.
- Note: Some platforms may have multiple modules that you may not need at the time of implementation, but can be great to consider for future growth & scale.
- Selection: Based on the size and stage of your company, we can recommend options, considering short and long term needs.
- Implementation: We can partner as needed to implement and integrate new technologies into your organization.

Compensation Advisory and Benchmarks
We can collaborate to review compensation data for new and existing roles.
- Pave: All 645 Ventures portfolio companies have access to a self-service portal, Pave, for on-demand compensation data inquiries. You can access it here.
- Discuss Market Trends & Data: After you have pulled compensation data from Pave, we can review and discuss options based on market & compensation trends. We are here to answer any questions you may have about the Pave data you are reviewing.
Talent and HR Advisory
We can partner with you to discuss top of mind talent and HR questions. Examples include handbook creation, organizational structure, building a best in class culture etc.
- Understand the Organization: We can partner with you to understand your current people strategy and support your programs with helpful tools and resources.
- Brainstorm: We are here to meet you where you are today, ranging anywhere from developing process from scratch to scaling your people strategy.
- Recommendations: We can provide talent, HR & benefit recommendations to help solve your current problem areas.
